Welcome to the SGDI Project.

The SGDI project (Software for Genomic Data Integration) started with a goal to create a software infrastructure to enable integrative analysis of genomic data from human cancer. Our initial release provides a database for organized storage and parsing of microarray gene expression data with associated metadata (e.g. clinical information). Moving forward, we have identified three specific aims to target during the next project phase: 1) Development of cancer ontological schemes and tools for collaborative ontology development, 2) extending functionality to support diverse data types beyond gene expression and software refinement, and 3) exploration of analytic techniques in integrative genomics using the SGDI engine.

SGDI is designed to be deployed and managed locally, using open source tools such as PostgreSQL, Python, and R. Groups are able to maintain complete control over their data and data management.

Our current release of SGDI software is available at the Software page
